Junior Rush is designed for children in the FUNdamental stage (ages 6-8). The program helps children build and improve fundamental movement skills while learning soccer in a fun and engaging environment. The Rush Juniors curriculum helps children master a variety of physical literacy skills to build a strong foundation for multi-sport participation. Soccer technical training is organized around fundamental ball mastery competencies of dribbling, striking, and passing and receiving the ball. The curriculum also targets learning outcomes related to small group tactics and psychosocial development.

Rush Juniors’ weekly cycles consist of one weekday training session and one weekend small-sided play day. It is delivered as a standalone program intended to supplement recreational league play or take the place of practice for some traditional teams.  Players train as a co-ed pool in groups ranging in size from 12-24 children. Player pools and can be grouped by geography, chronological age, and/or developmental level. Pools come together 1-3 times per cycle or link up with another local club recreational team for a soccer festival or jamboree.
