Mighty Mites is a fun, high energy introductory program for children ages 4-5. The program features imaginative games and activities that use characters and stories to teach basic physical literacy skills (running, jumping, skipping, hopping) and soccer skills (dribbling, receiving, and striking the ball). Children will develop fundamental movement skills (FMS) that help promote an active lifestyle at the earliest stages of child development.

Mighty Mites can be delivered as a standalone program. Ideally, however, it should be imbedded in existing pre-k and early childhood development programs through partnerships with local recreational sports departments, the YMCA, child care centers, preschools, and K-12 schools. The idea is to “take the game to where they are.” In place of a traditional league format, players train as a player pool and can be grouped by geography, chronological age, and/or developmental level. Pools come together 1-2 times per cycle for a soccer festival or jamboree.
